Was actually reported on 1st May affecting all of yorkshire. I spoke to someone in liverpool (I assume liverpool as he was a scouser) and he said there had been a fibre break between yorkshire and edinborough. He was the only UK based person I have spoken to in the last 2 weeks and was the most help. He credited my account for the two weeks I've lost. The stupid bit is that for the last two weeks, this case has been expected to take 4 hours to repair. LOL.

It just goes to show that outsourcing these kinds of jobs really doesn't work. Last night I was helping a friend get connected to sky broardband. 45 minutes of going through a call centres scripted solutions got us nowhere, yet 2 minutes with someone from the uk who understood that the router kept freezing up ended with an engineer coming round for free (next monday).

Re: problems in LS8??

The status page says that service has been restored, but it still seems very slow to me. Not as bad as it has been, but still sluggish.

Re: problems in LS8??

well, my problem was fixed - it was a low signal strength issue.

Re: problems in LS8??

Glad to hear it. No such luck for me. I just rang VM and got though to a scotish bloke (who was very helpful and didn't try to feed me any lines) and it turns out that theres yet another issue in the area (not sure if its just Cas-vegas or all of yorkshire) so speeds are back down to dial up again.
