Question Music in a Presentation

Hi all, i have as powerpoint presentation setup ready to present to a small group of students this Wednesday. The problem is to get a distinction, one of the things i need to do is add a sound file. I have it on here, and have editied it in Audacity so that it fades out towards the end. However, although i can play it on one slide, i would like to play all the way through the show, as each slide comes, but as soon as i click onto the next slide, the music just stops. Im using Powerpoint 2003.

One of the most common PowerPoint questions that we get asked is how to add music to a presentation and how to get it to play across multiple slides.

Re: Music in a Presentation

Surely to get a distinction you should do the work yourself?

Re: Music in a Presentation

How does the music add to the presentation?

Why do all the slides need it?

How are you going to stop the music from competing with the visuals and what you're saying?

I agree... I hate ppt presentations that are all effects and no content... er, I'm not suggesting your's didn't have any content, MG, I was just generalising.

Also, I hate it when people put far too much text on slides and then insist on just reading aloud what is written on the slides. Slides should just contain bullet points which forces your audience to listen to what you're saying, otherwise they'll just read the slides then switch off and not remember a word of what you said.

There... rant over. I feel better now
