From what I've heard, 256QAM is a more advanced technology and allows for higher bandwidth, yet it's less stable, right?

I wouldn't say less stable, just has higher requirements, so can be more prone to problems with SNR and such.

down power has a lower mark of -12 for Qam64 its fine , niver seen that Frequency in use befor tho :S
