I always find Amsterdam or any of the German locations give the best speeds, possibly because of submarine cables to the continent rather than the UK's congested pipes since I'm on the coast and with two landing points just up the road.
Things have improved significantly here.

Re: Shockingly Low Speeds Today...
Not the speed I was getting, but much better than before:
Not even close when trying London though:

Re: Shockingly Low Speeds Today...
Same as usuall. Can't say I've had many problems in the recent weeks.

Oh, and the latency issues are probably down to my browser. Pings in games are consistently under 20ms (to uk based servers).

London's never the best example, but it's far better than the 2 - 3meg I usually get

Re: Shockingly Low Speeds Today...
Hi,
Still have really bad download speeds for a 10Mb service.
Tried to phone CS but after being a a queue for nearly an hour, i gave up.
I'll try again tomorrow.
Maybe I should have stayed with the old Samsung STB

Hi,
I should have read further up the chain.
The Dublin server certainly gives a better speed.
Still not the magic 10 though.

Re: Shockingly Low Speeds Today...
Still a great connection though, especially considering it's the evening.

Re: Shockingly Low Speeds Today...
According to the speed tester I am averaging 1.92 but even clips viewed at IMDB keep stopping with "buffering" displayed. It never used to be like this but now always seems to happen. Total Crap!

Re: Shockingly Low Speeds Today...
I use Giganews' speed test, because it is consistent - if it gets slow speeds there, then there is a problem, because I used to get 10mb speeds. It is showing as 2mb-3mb speeds at the moment.
The fact that the Speedtest.com's Dublin server is better than London (~7mb, not 10mb, but better than London's 1mb!), suggests that it is all NTL/VM's end, and no real need to contact CS or TS. They should know about it, and I am guessing it is to do with the 20mb upgrade.
