Portsmouth/Southampton Problems?

Seems that Virgin are having problems with customers in the Portsmouth/Southampton area.
Today in the Havant/Waterlooville area, we have had the new firmware rolled out.

I have had nothing but problems with the on demand not working at all.
Phoned up and it seems the whole area is having problems.

Anyone else got these problems? (That relate to the areas and virgin, not 'other' problems )

Yep, unfortunately there's quite a few problems in those areas and won't be fixed until the 25th of March, according to our estimated times! Are you experiencing freezing/blanking pictures as well?

Well we havn't used the tv long today, but as of yet NO. My faith will be tested later.

I was also suffering problems BEFORE the new rollout. The OD always gave errors and also the TV Guide Bar would show up on it's own accord.

Yes i'm in the Pompey area. Since the new software rollout the vod is intermittent. Sometimes it works and then only partly works. Last night i watched a vod programme. Tonight can't get it to work properly.

Re: Portsmouth/Southampton Problems?

Does anyone know what the problem is?
We have spoken to a network engineer, and he said they is an area problem but do not know when it will be fixed.
Which makes me think do they even know what the problem is?

Just to confirm, I'm in Fareham and both my Samsung STBs were upgraded on Sunday and sure enough, VOD has packed up.

Shame really, I'd only just started to use and enjoy it. Why did no one tell me that Black Books was so funny!

Cheers,
Pete
