Re: Called To Cancel What A Deal They Gave Me!
im guessing the Free movies and sports + 2nd box for £5 /mo is the brilliant offer
considering what the cost of movies and sports actually is....

Re: Called To Cancel What A Deal They Gave Me!
If he had called to cancel because of the loss of Sky One (amongst the other channels), then I suppose a good deal like that would make you want to stay. If losing Sky One was such a big deal to us (which it isn't... if I'm honest), and I rang to cancel but was offered a deal like that, I'd take it and stay too.
The missing sky channels would have to mean a hell of a lot to someone for them to refuse this kind of offer!!

Re: Called To Cancel What A Deal They Gave Me!
I recently had a similar experience with CS, allthough I hadn't called to cancel... I rang them up to have a little moan about my loss of sky channels too see if they could offer a compensation. I am currently on L TV, XL Internet and L phone. I was paying £55 a month.... I was offered XL TV, XL internet and a extra V+ box for free! and on top of that he said my bill would be £45 a month!! They were very helpfull on the phone. It will now take a great deal to even get me to think about moving. Thanks Virgin/Telewest!!

Re: Called To Cancel What A Deal They Gave Me!
just had a call from virgin media, apologising for the price increase and was told that letters were sent out to all customers,( doubt it) but was told that they would change my price plan. i was paying around £75-80pm, she said they would put me on a price plan which means i would be paying £44pm. we will see. Umm don't ya just love some of these posts.
I'd love to know what you was offered cause I'm missing out on a deal that I can offer to other customers and maybe save them.
As Virgin have stopped us being able to negoiate and using rolling credits without manager approval (which BTW I've never had a manager say yes to me yet regarding rolling credits). I seriously doubt you've been offered all that for for good.

i wasnt offered anything new, i am ok with what i have i just explained that i was looking around to change because they have been taking the mickey out of people, not replying to emails or anything. i even got a letter from them saying it would take up to ten days to reply to my query."TEN DAYS" with all the modern technology we have now and the need ten days to think about the excuse as to why they increased their prices without any notice, even tough they said they sent out letters but obviously i didnt receive mine. i even got in touch with ofcom who told me they had thousands of complaints against virgin media and may even lead to a prosecution, which is basically a slap on the wrist and a fine that would be small change to them. sorry but i didnt believe a word, no such letters were sent out and if anybody did receive such a letter please let me know! i would quite happily change to somebody else but i am emigrating in the summer so there is no point being tied down to a new 12 or 18 month contract. only another few months and i'll be on a beach and not have to worry about this anymore.
