24th update??
Can anyone here tell if the update has been applied? I'm refering to the update that will help the remote control delays. I haven't checked my V+ box (Silver TVDrive) yet.
I'm not aware of what the update may look like and to be honest think it's only a bit of hear say that it's coming.
I'm a happy V+ customer and would just like more HD content.

Re: 24th update??
I doubt very much if Virgin would risk rolling out an update on a Saturday, and risk screwing up weekend TV for millions of customers. Updates traditionally have taken place on Tuesdays to Thursday (or they have in Coventry at least).

Re: 24th update??
So I'm not to panic that the VOD still doesn't work on V+ or samsumng boxes (gets as far as says "playing" with subsequent blank screen.)

Called in, nice chap, insisted enginer vist and second line support not on his troublesorting "script". Still wonder if it is something that could be sorted out without engineers call, await events

It can't be sorted with engineers. 2nd line faults fixed mine on the same day (even though I was told it might take 2 or so). It's to do with miscommunication and mispairing of the boxes with certain information. I thought I needed to wait for the updates, but I called in for something on my Samsung (no VOD) - they couldn't find a problem so they said they would forward it to 2nd line faults. They called me back later that evening and had fixed both the Samsung's problem and the red button V+ problem and said there were small problems with each. An on-site person can't do anything. So call 'faults' and ask them to escalate it to 2nd line faults.

Well hopefully you get an engineer who's had enough of these all he'll need to do is make a quick phone call and get it sorted. Good luck

Re: 24th update??
Thank you again - having met with a brick wall with CS am pessimistic. Could I trouble you to give me the low down about what actually needs to be done to resolve this i.e. what ought I to ask the engineer to get CS to do to sort this. Would be v useful so it is not a wasted journey -stilll can't believe it's in CS's interest to send out engineers needlessly.

Re: 24th update??
Sometimes it takes more than one try for me even on ch 0, I presume you've had a few tries.
This is supposed to be being fixed along with the other bugs.

When 2nd line faults called me back he said there had been a couple of small issues with both boxes. He did say it was a pairing issue, but reading what others have written I don't think it was a card pairing issue, but the same issue that others have said - the wrong box was coded as being the primary box which meant loss of VOD on the samsung, and loss of red button on the V+.
Hope this helps.
