Blueyonder homepage to be replaced
This morning was the first time that the Blueyonder homepage announced its demise.
I won't be sorry to see it going. It always had too many broken links and was sometimes so out of date with its "breaking news". I am looking forward to Thursday to see what the VirginMedia homepage looks like. I will persevere with whatever they give us for a couple of weeks but if it isn't an improvement then I will look elsewhere for my homepage. I can always add the ebilling, selfcare and webmail to my favourites.

Good luck to the VirginMedia team

Will be sorry to see the Blueyonder name going ........ always had a quality Broadband service from them, unlike Virgin's internet service which just said 'urghhhhhhh' to me!

Your internet service has just changed names so it should be no different.
[edit]
Unless you're talking about Virgin ADSL.

Re: Blueyonder homepage to be replaced
I must agree with Snoopz. There has only been a change of name so the internet service is just the same. The one who seem to have benefited are the ex-ntl customers judging by the comments in these forum. The new homepage is an improvement on the Blueyonder homepage. I can now switch on and see today's news headlines whereas before the news was always yesterday's headlines. It's only a small change but it is an improvement. I like what I see so far and keep my fingers crossed that more improvements will come.

I take it that the blueyonder email address that i use will soon be gone ?
I signed up to things using my blueyonder address and it would be hard letting everyone know that i've had to move to another email address.

Nope, you won't loose your blueyonder email address anytime soon as far as I can tell.
Here's the information on my ntlworld webmail page:
Quote:
Will I get a Virgin Media email address
Yes! You'll notice your email address is @ntlworld.com. Over the next few months we'll be making @virginmedia.com email addresses available, just like you'd expect.
Before we do, we'll send you an email giving you all the information you need, and letting you know if there's anything you need to do. When we do make @virginmedia.com addresses available, you'll still be able to keep the ntlworld addresses you've been using, or get a Virgin Media address, or both - the choice is yours!
For the time being, there's no change to our current services like spam and virus protection, webmail access, automatic reply and forwarding, and fifteen 30MB mailboxes for all the family to use.

Well....here's what I would do, list all those site and organisations that have your current email address, and as soon as the change is made, inform them.
