[Help] Cabel Modem-Webstar DPC2100

Hello,
I m new to this stuff, so please help me with it.
BroadBand :- Webstar DPC2100

Problem:- it stops working, the DATA SEND and RECEIVE LED indicators go OFF after being used for approx 30-45 mints. and i can't use my Internet, then i have to unplug my Power and plug it back or sometimes i right click on the toolbar on my LAN icon and click for repairs, then i can surf the internet.

Reason for Problem :- I had gone out of town for a week and left my PC off but the modem was left ON, and when i came back and started using my modem i realised that my modem is having problem.

I had contacted to my ISP and the people their don't really know what an XP is and they were trying to help with my problem.

I had also surfed the scientific atlanta's site but didn't get any solution.

And then i found this forum and thought that here people might help me.

I use Ethernet to connet my modem to PC [OS-Windows XP Pro SP2].

Thanks in Advance.

Where in the world are you. We are a United Kingdom based forum so not necessarily able to assist you directly, albeit that the principles of basic connectivity should be the same.

Most people leave their modems running 24/7 so that isn't likely to be your problem. It's going to be a network fault,, you're modem itself has worn out, or something on your PC - the last is probably the least likely if you have current antivivus and stuff.
