Do you use it in DVI mode up to the max 1600X1200?? or what ever the max is as its widescreen?

The 204B flickers like mad where it isnt useable and Samsung seem not to acknowledge its a design fault

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 204B

i presume you're referering you your monitor in this case, what card are you driving it with ? Resolution is probably 1440x960 for a widescreen lcd of that size which is within dvi tolerances

Driving it with an X1950XT and X1950XTX crossfire setup at 1600 * 1200

Seems to be a well known problem when you google about it

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 204B

ah just noticed its not a widescreen panel d'oh. Are you using a dvi-d cable ? if so is it a single or dual link cable ?

What refresh rate are you trying to get out of it as single channel dvi maxes out at 1600x1200@60Hz.

What do you mean by it flickering where it isnt useable ?

single or dual link cable?? how do i tell? Im using the one that came with the monitor and the crossfire cable that came with the cards. The ma refresh rate the monitor supports at 1600*1200 is 60Hz and this is what im using. Lower resolutions dont seem to work either where as other monitors on the same cables do work
