Talk about a waste of OUR money.
Why don't they make it more useful and upgrade our stuff faster.

You can't have an undisclosed package the way in which the company is listed on the NASDAQ, I think the value they put on it is very speculative. There are a lot of rules and governance when dealing with financial matters, so I am sure Duffy's golden handshake will be in full view of the public when they announce Q1 results for 2007.

these are CEO's and crew we are talking about, not your average worker, its the reason you end up with these shower-o-sh%ts keep popping up in all the high places.

keep an eye out and you can be sure he will already be lined up for another posting elswere with another fat contract probably already signed.

innovation ,not in their rule book, thats for the people you dont get to hear about or ever see in the boardroom.

and dont forget , its a good way to keep him quiet as to the (US backhanding?) dealings in the board room.

theres a reason you have old US style HD mpeg2 and not the growing UK/EU HD AVC and its nothing to do with being better, or in the long term good (exept perhaps boardroom spreadsheets).

NTL announces Duffy’s departure

Simon Duffy, executive vice chairman of NTL Incorporated, has resigned from the company.

Duffy joined NTL in April 2003 as chief operating officer, going on to become president and chief executive officer in August 2003.

Appointed executive vice chairman in January 2006, he was involved in the refinancing process which led to the merger with Telewest, and the acquisition of Virgin Mobile last March.

Jim Mooney, chairman of NTL, said: “He has helped create a company which is well positioned to take advantage of the huge opportunities the digital age presents."

Virgin Media, the new re-branded name for the merged NTL:Telewest and Virgin Mobile companies, is expected to launch over the next month.
