Extra childrens channels in school holidays?

A few weeks ago at the school Half Term holiday, the NTL digital TV "Base pack" temporarily had extra channels added. These included Nicktoons TV. I assume that was intentional and not a fault: it lasted exactly one week.

It's now nearly Xmas but the same thing hasn't happened. Does anyone know whether this will happen, and when?

Re: Extra childrens channels in school holidays?

My NTL area (Woking) doesn't have a "Guest Channel" any more. And what happened last Half Term was with several channels rather than one. It was the Nickleodeon channels, plus some others I think.

On their own original channel numbers, each one worked for that week rather than giving the "unsubscribed channel" on-screen message. Apart from that one week, those channels normally give me the "unsubscribed channel" on-screen message because I have the "base pack" rather than the "family pack".

Does that ring any bells with anyone? Is there someone there from NTL who can tell us if it will ever happen again?

The regular monthly guest channels have gone. It's more ad hoc now.

Did I spot Discovery Wings was free at the moment? Or was that another of those wierd dreams?

You have dreams about Discovery channels? Well, dreaming about Kari Byron from Mythbusters I can understand!
