hey guys

my friend plays xbox 360 on his Pc monitor. It is 17" normal 4:3 ration so 360 games are letterboxed. I don't like this so want to get a wisescreen 19" monitor. What his worried about is how his going to play PC games at his preferred resolution of 1024 X 768 (better FPS). What will that look like on a widescreen 19"? Will there just be black spaces on the left and right, or will there be stretched image or what?

Thanks

Re: monitors

You might be able to select the aspect ratio in the games video settings. If it's an LCD then he should really be playing the game in the LCD's native resolution, although this will reduce his frame rates if his graphics card isn't upto the job.
