NTL samsung2100c showing fri 17th today not the 3rd nov

my NTL (wythenshawe)stb is showing friday the 17th (i assume nov 2006) as its todays date , i did a reset as usual when the 'on demand' button stopped working and the timed 'miniguide' didnt time out after a few seconds.

its not clear if the mini guide is showing the real todays guide or the 17th nov part of the guide ?.

Not seen this before has the box got a ip address ?

it seems to have set the date right now (10 mins ago) and yes, its got a 10.*.*.* ip.

its odd , looking at the event log on the last page its got callback connection attempt and callback connection failure and their (4 of them) dated 17/02/06 so it wasnt friday Nov but friday feb 06 8)

im tempted to reset the box again and see if it uses the odd date again, but not yet.
