InternExplorer 7 windows update

Had to just boot up my windoze XPSP2 machine after God knows how long (i know i know but my PIM data is still on there GRRRrrrrrrrrrrrr).

Noticed the update to IE7 anyone know if there are any OS service patches bundled in this or how it reacts to. Maybe its just the browser ?

Just curious to know not that I'll be running back to windows in a hurry.

Re: InternExplorer 7 windows update

I decided to reject the update as ie7 sucks. I use good old firefox. I wud rather have ie6 than 7 as it uses less resources when its open.

Yeh will I dont use Intern Apprenticeship Explorer either was just wondering as it's such a big core change to the OS if anyone has noticed any changes with the behaviour of windows.

Re: InternExplorer 7 windows update

Well the 64bit version seems blisteringly fast..............still use FF though as it is more versatile (at the moment)

Re: InternExplorer 7 windows update

got IE7 on my machine at work due to running Vista on it and have to say I much more prefer FF then that....okay for somethings IE7 does work nicely ie for Logmein but other then that I find it too buggy and not easy to use.

Re: InternExplorer 7 windows update

Was the thread title meant to say "InternExplorer"? That sounds like how Bill Clinton might have described himself.

LOL My mistake it was actually supposed to be Internet Explorer.....

Realized my mistake afterwards....

And please it was a genuine query as to whether the IE7 update had much OS impact or changes.

Dont worry I'll g00gle 4 it.

Re: InternExplorer 7 windows update

I use IE7 - much better then Firefox, more user friendly for me and uses. Firefox has more security issues compared with IE in the same time-frame.

Where exactly did you get these 'facts' from? www.microsoft.com by any chance?

Re: InternExplorer 7 windows update

Mozilla Web browsers are potentially more vulnerable to attack than Microsoft's Internet Explorer, according to a Symantec report.

Not just this, but i've read other news stories which says simular things.
