Re: using remote in other rooms within house

I'm having the same problem at the moment. Have purchased the Blue Delta system (www.bluedelta.co.uk) which should work with cable tv. Unfortunately because of the way the ir remote signals are sent, the remote control doesn't work. Have purchased a new remote on Blue Deltas advice only to find the remote I've purchased doesn't work with the stb I have! PLease help!!!

Re: using remote in other rooms within house

it all depends on the box you have. I have a PACE 4010, and it works fine with Technika AV Sender from Tesco's - only £25 at that. you could try that and see what happens. It is all to do with the older boxes using IRDA to transmitt signals from remote to box or something - the new ones (the samsung ones) will work fine with the AV senders as they now use Infra Red.
