Box freezing

Box freezing

Just got a new samsung box the c model and when i search on the guide towards then end 2 days in adwance the box locks up and refuse comands from the remote.

is this commen for this box and can i prevent this?

To be honest, its probably normal for all ntl STB's.
It will probably work, but it may take a long time! Go make a cup of tea etc...

tbh, as soon as I get to a point on the guide where it says 'searching' - if it takes more than 20 seconds, I think 'leave it!' and hunt out the free magazine you get with most weekend papers instead!

This is less about the STB and more about the pants EPG that takes forever to update and download. It should update eventually, but as Monkey2468 says, make a cup of tea while you are waiting.

Ive noticed the time it takes to update, hardly cutting edge is it?

Youd think in this day and age and on a state of the art fibre network, it would be instant, or am i just dreaming

This is not the earth shaking cable tv that customer services keep trying to sell me is it?
I think if it ever comes to having to buy a tv guide to see whats on tele i'll give in, good thing I have sky+ been reliable from day one, 12 months and counting
