Thumbs up Skype Free calls to Landlines

Not sure how many people use Skype, but they've got an offer on:

http://www.skype.com/campaigns/talkf...talkforbritain

Buy £10 credit and get free calls to UK landlines for 6 months!

Might be of interest to some of you?

Re: Skype Free calls to Landlines

I signed up for this and have now had to claim my money back from paypal.

They took the money but have not provided the service. Plus the only contact you have with them is via email and its a automated system with no real contact. Paypal are now trying to get my money back. Word on the street and on the skype forum is that Watchdog are about to do a segment on there show about the complaints they have received over this offer.

Avoid like the plague

Re: Skype Free calls to Landlines

Ebay, Skype and Paypal are all owned by the same company so good luck in getting your money back!

It worked fine for me. Did you do exactly what it says? I know that some people have had problems because they bought €10 instead of £10 or they didn't have their Skype client running at the time that they bought the credit.

Re: Skype Free calls to Landlines

That sucks then. I didn't get any email to confirm that I'd got the free calls like you're supposed to but it's listed on my account at https://secure.skype.com/store/myacc...romotions.html
and I don't seem to be getting charged, so I'm happy.

I raised a complaint via pay pal who have just replied at the same time as skype ?. the reply said skype have now delivered the product. When i then looked in my account details they had indeed switched on the free calls. its a shame i had to go to the lengths i did to get it resolved.

so no as they had to be forced therefor
