Im downloading the 64 bit version 3GB exactly so far. Why not partition your current HDD?

Bad experiences! I have destroyed a wink 2k install before trusting repartitioning software. Right now i'm about to delete my 30Gb partition that is spare within windows and install Debian on it.

should have backed it up first 
well before you install debian full split the drive into 2 primarys then stick deb on the first and leave the other clear till wanted!.

Yep, use the RC1 key
Just downloading Debian DVD's now... From Blueyonder file server over FTP... Hittig 550kbps! on a 4mbps connection, i don't see how it's possible, but hey
