iTunes 7!

http://www.apple.com/itunes

Some nice new features in there, the biggest one for me being gapless playback (and it only took them 7 major releases to get it right). It even analyses your existing library and sets the end position of tracks so that they play properly.

Re: iTunes 7!

Been tinkering a bit with it this evening, some of the features are quite nice.

I haven't properly figured the gapless playback thing out just yet - it analysed my library but one or two albums I know should be gapless, were not automatically. But I'll play with that later.

The album artwork feature is nice, since now it'll goto the iTMS and download artwork for albums that don't have any. Although it only works with albums that are in the music store, and it's mis-identified a few of mine.

From what I have seen I am guessing they 'guess' to try and fill them'. I have many bootlegs and concert recordings, in many cases they display album art from the artist. I.E A coldplay recording had one the single covers attached to it.

Re: [Merged]iTunes 7 and new iPods

I really like the album cover browser... lovely feature

don't like the fact that the icon is blue instead of green though... i have had to rearrange my dock so it fits in with the pattern

---------- Post added at 01:47 ---------- Previous post was at 01:45 ----------

did take a while to download 1634 album covers though! hope the artwork isn't too big, otherwise bye bye disk space!
