Re: browzar - new install-less browser

I'd rather take a copy of FF Portable with me on a flash drive. Saves downloading and deleting every time. If I had something to hide, that is. Which I don't. So actually I don't even use FF Portable.

Is that my coat?

Re: browzar - new install-less browser

Yep - it's not looking good at all: http://web3.0log.org/2006/09/01/new-...ull-of-adware/

Think I'll be sticking with Firefox. If you want this kind of privacy you can set it to delete everything each time you close it anyway.

Re: browzar - new install-less browser

Doesn't look good

Good extension for FF if you use google and are 'worried' about privacy:

http://www.customizegoogle.com/

Allows you to :-

* Use Google Suggest (suggest words while you're typing)
* Add links to competitors
* Rewrite links to point straight to the images in Google Images
* Removes image copying restrictions in Google Book Search
* Secure Gmail and Google Calendar, switch to https NEW
* Block Google Analytics cookies
* Hide the Gmail spam counter NEW

* Remove ads
* Anonymize your Google userid
* Add a result counter in search result
* Filter spammy websites from search results
* Add links to WayBack Machine (webpage history)
* Remove click tracking
* Add links from Google to your bookmark manager
* Use a fixed font for Gmail mail bodies NEW

Makes using Google a whole lot more user friendly

Also available through FF/mozilla extensions site (it is legit )

matt_2k34 is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: browzar - new install-less browser

people are complaining merely because it doesnt seperate paid links from unpaid links and throws in the odd red herring in its own search engine.

What do you expect ? people spend money developing something, then give it away for free - they get money out of the adverts

However shell for IE is not good - especially for linux users, and being held at the mercy of M$ because IE is not up to date

firefox user
