Follow Grum's suggestion and see what service speed you are on.

If it's the 64k service I would suggest switching modem off for as long as you can bear to be without it and switching it back on again + see if that gets you the proper DHCP and config file - what are the last 4 digits of your IP address at the moment, are they by any chance .248 or higher? (Not 100% sure it's 248 but is somewhere around there)

Just did the test as suggested and I got:-

Tue, 29 Jul 2003 18:08:25 UTC
1st 128K took 1810 ms = 72415 Bytes/sec = approx 602 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 1810 ms = 72415 Bytes/sec = approx 602 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 1810 ms = 72415 Bytes/sec = approx 602 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 1870 ms = 70092 Bytes/sec = approx 583 kbits/sec

Apart from the 4th test , all the others seem OK or have I misunderstood the figures?

No your test looks spot on for a 150k



na seriously 600k results seem nice

I just ran the test again before I think about ringing TS

I still get these

2nd 128K took 19110 ms = 6859 Bytes/sec = approx 57 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 19060 ms = 6877 Bytes/sec = approx 57 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 19880 ms = 6593 Bytes/sec = approx 55 kbits/sec

And I have rebooted my CM again

Hi...150k...can this be right?.....
No the results are too slow for 150k service try rebooting your modem and follow other advice given on this thread if that doesn't improve things
