PremiershipPlus from NTL Freeview

Is it possible to subscribe to Premiership Plus from meerly a freeview package on NTL?

I've moved into a rented flat and brought an old NTL cable digi box that they never collected some years ago, plugged it in and get a limited number of free to view channels. Is there any way I could register and pay to receive JUST Premiership Plus?

Thanks!

No. You'll need to have a proper account with the phone line and Base Pack at least.

No.

Strictly speaking the box is still Ntl's property and should be returned to them.

I gave them 5 weeks notice when I cancelled years ago - was actually moving and they couldn't supply to my new address. They said they'd send me a labelled package so I could return the box - never arrived. On the day I moved out I phoned them and said I was leaving it as hadn't received their packaging, they asked me to leave it with nextdoor (another NTL customer) and the local rep would pick it up... Two months later I went round to see them socially and they asked me to take the box as NTL hadn't been round... If NTL want it they can have it...

I thought you had to have Sky Sports if you wanted PremPlus with Sky.
