Slow Connection in Grimsby

From about 20 minutes ago, ive started getting slow speeds - robin walkers speed test that always said my speed (600k) now reports speeds of 50-150k. Ive restarted my computer, router and modem and its still there. Ive just tried a download from download.com and the highest speed i could keep steady was 18kB/sec.

Is there a problem in my area? Ive checked the server status and my area is not on it and my system was clean of viruses and all that.

Thanks,

looks like it - I presume you havn't got anything running that uses the upstream, like kazaa, 'cos that can severely affect your download speed?

- are you connecting using the set top box, or a stand alone cable modem, btw?

Re: Slow Connection in Grimsby

Grimsby is stand alone cable modem only.

I'm not aware of any issues with the area however if you want to provide me with your IP I'll be happy to check further into this issue from the ntl end.

EDIT: Got the address, thanks, please check your PMs.
