Re: [merged] Price increase

The prices or what I think we should be paying - after all we are a few years into broadband now and it should not be seen as a luxury. Other countries seem to be getting faster and cheaper - AOL germany offering 1.5mb for 24.90 euros per month (about £18). OK that gets you a 15gb download limit. 29.90 euros gets you 1mb unlimited and 49.90 euros (£36) gets you 3mb unlimited. AOL France or doing 1mb for 27.99 euros per month. Now I am not advocating AOL as a good service, i just picked it because I know that it operates across Europe. I am sure that there are hundreds of providers across europe the beat the s**t our of NTL for broadband prices. Not over here, we thing £37.99 is a good deal!

Exactly, and even AOL UK are doing 1Mbps for £29.99.

Not that's I'd touch AOL with a bargepole, but the point is clear and NTL seem to have lost the plot.

The only service available via AOL on the NTL cable system is 600k. You cannot get 1 Mb AOL via NTL, only via a BT line.

Really? I didn't know that - AOL don't tell you that before you order! Oh well - in that case I take it back - you don't have a choice after all!
