Contacts needed for a new job.
Ok, so I'm looking for a new job, and was wondering if anyone on the site can help.
Basically I'm looking for the names of British companies hiring for Private Security Contracts in Iraq. I've got one so far, but more is better.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
EoB.

Re: Contacts needed for a new job.
I imagine the salary would be quite astonishing. I'd go if I had the balls.

If you have the right training then you can earn between $500 and $1000 US a day.

How much of that goes towards insurance, assuming you can get any?

Is it really worth it ? - did you see what they did to that American today (beheaded him on video). You're either very brave or have a screw loose - I would not even consider it.

To be honest I dont know, but if I get a gig out there I'll betaking out as big an insurance policy as I can.
Xaccers - as for speaking the lingo, the contracts are to guard foreign works, and Infrastructure. So 90% of the principles will speak English as at least a second language.

Personally, I would not be surprised if the situation in Iraq will get worse rather than better for the foreseeable future. Are you sure you know what you'll be getting into?

I was just thinking with regards to dealing with any locals, in my experiance, showing you've gone to the effort of learning even a few words of arabic goes a very long way.

Theres a company in Reading who offer survival training to UK people going to Iraq, not sure if they have people over there, but I'll find out. I know one person who did their training with them just before they captured Saddam, and he was annoyed he didn't get to go out!
Didn't two guys from a UK based Private security firm get killed in Afghanistan in the last week?
Not my cup of tea anyway. I've been as far as Belgium (with work).

I know exactly what I'm getting into mate, dont worry on that account.
It will be a nice change for the regular programming and content. But dont worry, I'm recovering from serious injuries at the moment and wont be making a final move untill the end of September/start of October. At the moment I'm scouting out which firms have contracts, and thrying to find out info on said firms to see if they do it right or half assed.
But it will all be good.
