There all sorts of people out there Alan.... with many different
needs 
and there are just as many people in relationships that don't go out socially with each other

There are those that don't want commitment and are content (perhaps have no other choice) with online
stimulation (am being discreet here lol) but lack the emotional support even if it's not
real or physical and would like to have a simulated presence rather than nothing at all

Then i suppose there are those that want to be
wanted..... or at least the appearance of being
wanted. Thanks to the job market and the increasing need to travel for work, many people have long distance relationships..... how would your colleagues or friends know that the person that is texting or phoning you
isn't a woman you met on holiday or on a conference?

Perhaps you want the
lads to think you're having an illicit affair?
