request a line test :)
Hi all - i was wondering if anyone knows of the best way of getting BT to test a line for ADSL - u see i previuously had adsl working fine for 3 weeks then BT decided to cut me off because of the range i am from the exchange - i failed an extended reach test as well but the dsl did work fine.
now adsl has been extended to 6km i was hoping to get a retest but for the life of me cant find a number to dial to get one and ringing bt general number just sent me round in circles
if anyone could help it would be great

i rang sales a few times they didnt seem very helpful and after a few goes of going round and round in circles i gave in 
but thanks anyway i sposei can try again

Just use the line checker on any DSL supplier's website.

A guy at work has a problem because BT's database shows his line to be ISDN when it isn't.
He'd like ADSL, but because BT will not change the database, he can't get it from anyone else (like pipex).
I suggested he went with BT and then cancelled within the cool off period, but he reckons they'd just do a line test, find it's ok, give him ADSL but then still not bother to update the database.
Because its information pertaining to BT's own equipment (ie the line) he can't use the DPA to get it changed so it looks like he's going to have to go through OfCom.

I think WNA was refering to DQ for a sales/tech number for bt
