The EPG and Paramount Comedy 1/2
Could someone who works for NTL find out why the EPG data for Paramount Comedy is so wrong at the moment?
I know NTL are not responsible for the data but they are in more of a position to do something than I am.
It's 21:44 Mon 5 Apr and the EPG says 'Ally McBeal' should be on, BUT it's 'Sex and the City' that's really on.
It's getting really annoying as I keep missing programs thinking they are gonna be on at a different time. PC is one of my fave channels.
Digiguide also shows the same mistakes, I gather they have the same suppliers of epg data?
Thanks in advance.

Re: The EPG and Paramount Comedy 1/2
I assume that Paramount must of changed the schedule if both DG and ntl's EPG are wrong?
But isn't Ally being advertised nationwide on buses as being on at 10PM, so obviously not an unplanned move.

Yeah I think part of the problem is that paramount keeps changing the sched's too often. They often get the beginnings of 1 season shows wrong tho. Like they interchange between 'In-Laws' and 'Bram and Alice' often but the EPG takes a week to stop showing the last one.
Plus PC1 seems to be showing until 4am now rather than 3.30am so that might have put the sched's out.
But it's been going on for the last 3yrs at least, altho it seems very bad at the moment, hardly a program in the right slot.

Yeah I tried their site too, but even that is wrong.
22:00The Frank Skinner Show
22:50Baddiel And Skinner Unplanned
23:20Drop The Dead Donkey
23:50Bill Plympton Shorts
0:00Ally Mcbeal
It's 00:05 and Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned is on but Drop The Dead Donkey is on the EPG, and as you can see their site says Ally Mcbeal should be on.
Sigh.

Re: The EPG and Paramount Comedy 1/2
It's 1:30am and on Paramount comedy 2 the EPG shows 'Rendez-View' but it's 'Becker' that's being show.
While over on PC1 it's 'Ally McBeal' with 'Frasier' being shown on the EPG.
Just another example. I keep wondering if I'm in some sort of time warp.
It's 2:00am and 'Fraiser' is on but its 'Ellen' on the EPG

Have Paramount forgotten to change some clocks somewhere since the move to Summer Time?

At best the sched's are only an half hour out, (or completly wrong) so I doubt it's that.

Yes the do seem to change the sched's often, it's mostly due to them showing 1 season series in a daily slot, so they go through the episodes quickly. It's good tho if you wanna watch every episode of your fave series, Managed to see 'King of Queens' many times over.
It's now 20:17pm and digiguide have got the right sched's (good on them) but the NTL epg is still wrong. 'Just Shoot Me' is on the EPG but it's 'Sienfeld' that's on at the mo.

Re: The EPG and Paramount Comedy 1/2
Seems people over on the Digiguide forums have noticed the errors too, altho related to digiguide not the NTL EPG.

How come I'm the only one who's 'anal' about the EPG in general??
After all it's a major part of the digital tv experience, when it's not working or provides the wrong data, it can be a major pain.

No, I get quite annoyed by it. Although not having ntl now, I don't get Paramount, so not noticed the errors

Re: The EPG and Paramount Comedy 1/2
Is the data right on the Now & Next bar on Sky? Paramount themselves have control of this data, rather than going via a third party, so if anything is right it should be that.
