Question routers

Hi all iv'e just bought a Linksys BEFSR41 router/4port switch,
now iv'e managed to network 2 comps, working fine both online
but they can't "see" each other, and I can't share or fine swap'
any help,,,,

Create a new folder on your C/: drive, call it "Shared" (or whatever else turns you on !!). Right click on it and invoke 'Sharing & Security' follow the wizard or DIY.

Re: routers

Make sure that both PCs are configured with the same Workgroup name.

Make sure that you have enabled File and Printer Sharing on both PCs.

Make sure that you have disabled the firewalls on both PCs, especially the built-in XP firewall.

In XP, you will need to define a user account and password with matches the user name and password used whenever the Win98 PC boots up.
