Re: *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please (Part 4)

So does anyone know where to get a scart to scart lead with phono split off?

It is a real let down that the Samsung STB does not have audio out as I can no longer feed the audio into my Home Theatre System.

I have had a look on the internet for a scart cable that has 2 audio leads splitting off from the scart (as the engineer suggested), but so far I have had no luck at all.

Hi Ian,

If it's any use you can get an adapter which plugs onto the end of your scart cable and provides audio connectors instead.

Hope this helps.

Aldi have a kit with one in on sale today as one of their 'specials' - £4.99 IIRC, so there may not be any left - otherwise try Maplin.

<edit> to correct the price - thanks Ian for the link

Re: *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please (Part 4)

They really don't do what I want.

I need a scart to scart cable for the video signal to the TV and split of this I need 2 phono connections so that I can connect to the Amp.

The other scart output on the STB is connect to the Hard Disk video recorder.

Re: *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please (Part 4)

What you really need is one of these 6th item down.

STANDARD SCART OUT 2 x PHONO (video in/out) - SCART IN
Order Code:- BUGLEAD

Typical use: carrying AV signal from one SCART-equipped VCR to another - converting or enhancing the video signal in the process. Audio is sent direct to second VCR, while video may be diverted to in/out sockets of video enhancer or to video standards converter (NTSC to PAL for example).

Re: Scart to Scart Lead

I recently got a new TV set up with Amp etc etc - picked up some Thor Scart Leads from Play.com or available here aswell and then got one of these adapter sockets and then run standard phono cables up to the Amp (3 meter run)......

Adapter is here : Scart Adapter with Breakout
Phono cable is here : Phono cables

Hope that helps someone - means you can use a "better" quality Scart lead
