last night was my first night without air con or fan since the heatwave started
but i was woken by a bloody cockerel at 4-15, i can't believe some prat has bought a cockerel

I think they're one of the ingredients for Voodoo and Black Magic, you may have to check facebook to see if there's someone offering potions for strange maladies . . .

Passport office want a full birth certificate to confirm my identity. I only have the red one that has my details on. So that's more waiting now. West-Sussex have a priority service for near £40. £12.50 standard service. They want my parents names on it, the full birth certificate.

My Amazon delivery driver looks like Bill out of Bill and Ted. I told and he checked him after never watching movie. Today I said oh he is also in The Lost Boys. He said "what's that?"

I was with a young adults group at church the other week and we were talking about a building over the road being used for filming a new drama … one of them read a list of actors who had been seen in town, and when he said “Josette Simon” I sighed happily, and then saw all their blank faces, started explaining “She was a rebel weapons expert in a science fiction show I used to love …” (realisation dawns) “… before anyone in this room was born.” 
Felt very very old.
