advice needed please

I have a problem with my cable tv it is like freezing very slightly , if say somebody was walking through the screen it will skip as if losing the signal then catching up.

so far I have had about a dozen boxes, various engineer and network guys, today they put a temp cable in to prove that but is still the same.
I have changed scarts at their request and moved my phone from the room

they are now saying i might need to disconnect from cable,, why should I

They have also said it could be my tv 42 inch hitachi hd ready plasma three months old. I put my lcd tv in from my conservatory and it does the same, then they noticed they are both hitachi, maybe its a hitachi problem they say. my answer to that is ok how is it I can record what is happening on my dvd recorder and play it back

is this a common network issue they are trying to tell me they have never seen it before, but off the record their engineers say its common

thanks for any info

It sounds like it might be a problem with the signal... do you have an ntl/ telewest epg or the new virgin one?

What type of box are you using at the moment?

If you provide this information, we can find out whether it is the signal that is causing your problems.

Re: advice needed please

When I had this picture freezing problem it was because the signal was TOO strong. The regular engineers could not fix it and had to get Network to fit a new part (amplifier?) in the Cab.
It did take 2 engineers visits before it was correctly diagnosed though. The first engineer just needlessly changed the stb and zoomed off leaving me to wait for the channels to appear.
On the plus side he did change my Pace for a Sammy though.
