Query after cancelling services.

Hi all
I called CS and cancelled my account on the 18th August, where I was told that it would take 30 days and I would be knocked off on 18th September - thought that was fine as I'd be moving out then.

18th September came and way hay, all ntl services have been cancelled.
However Yesterday I got an NTL Bill, for what looks like my previus months calls and also my services, TV, BB, Phone line.

I always thought you paid the line subscription in advance, so by cancelling in August, the next bill would just have the calls you made up until the date when it was turned off.

am I correct, or do I have to pay another bill?

it depends on your billing date.
the system will carry on billing you for you services until you are fully disconnected, it cant distinguish between active and pending disconnect,
therefore you will recieve another bill around the same time next month which will credit the difference, CS will then send a cheque out to you.

That's if you're lucky. When I cancelled they kept billing me for nearly a year after the disconnection date...

if i were you i would call CS today just to check there is a pending disconnection, that way if there are any problems they can be sorted now instead of waiting until its meant to be discon'd but nothing then happens
