Question Splitting TV drive signal around the house

Hi one and all,

Help! Not very technical.

Recent new telewest drive box.
Original telewest box used to pipe sky around house.
Usual split/amplier? in roof.

New top drive box doesn't oblige on same setting.

I've been told it can be sorted, but don't know procedure.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Re: Splitting TV drive signal around the house

Is this something that Telewest did for you originaly,?
They used to run a cable from the box through a splitter so you could watch cable in another room as long as it was the same channel.

Re: Splitting TV drive signal around the house

I think you are right. Yes.
It works for the original box ( same channel piped to another room on cable) but same arrangement doesn't work for the new drive box.
Maybe the drive box needs to be on a different setting to the original box.

Re: Splitting TV drive signal around the house

If the connections have been made up as the same as before it could be the RF output frequency that is different on the new box .
Put the cable box on to a channel you recognise and then
retune one of the other Tvs and see if it will pick up the cable channel.
Tell me how it goes.

Re: Splitting TV drive signal around the house

HI What you must remember is that TV DRIVE will only output via the rf port when set to scart, If it is set to HDMI, or, Component all other outputs are dead.
Hope this helps, Stuart
