The American IC manufacturer, National Semiconducter recently gave all it's 8,500 employees a 30 gig iPod..
Then, they made 35 redudant, and asked for the iPods back claiming they weren't a gift, but a business tool (in the same vein as a laptop or mobile phone).

Read that, they gave them the Ipods as they had just had a good financial year but they were supposed to use them to listen to updates and company podcasts. What a joke.
