Thumbs down NTL Broadband goes off at set times????

For the last month and a half my 10meg BB has been going off at 10:30 and not coming back on till 18:30... You could set you watch by it! The modem goes through various light patterns but 90% of the time it sits there with 'ready' light flashing.

NTL advised it was my modem and have arranged for a tech to visit today (I wont hold my breath!) but if it was the modem I cant see why it would happen at set times?

Has anyone else experienced an issue like this?

BTW, friends and family in the area have had no issuesââ‚Ã⠀šÃ‚¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¦

Sounds to me like it is being affected by someone in your local area. Are you connected wirelessly? If so, maybe someone near by works on their laptop from 10:30-6:30 everyday.

Re: NTL Broadband goes off at set times????

a conflicting wireless network wouldn't cause the ready light to flash though.

the modem is losing sync for some reason, best to wait and see what the engineer finds out and then report back....
