Re: Broadband Disconnections - AM I DREAMING?

Hi Doufas

Try this, it seems to have sorted out my connection problems:

Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager - Scroll down to "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" - Right-click and go to Properties, then click on "Power Management" tab, take the tick out of "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power".
Do this on all the Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

Then do the following:

Control Panel - Network Connections - Local Area Connections - Right-click and go to Properties, then take the tick out of "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity".

Hope it helps to solve your problems

Leave that part alone if i were you, its usually the easiest way to see if the LAN link is down, or malfunctioning. Without it you have to remember to go looking through network connections...

However the first idea is quite a good one

Re: Broadband Disconnections - AM I DREAMING?

Hi there thank you for the advice but my pc is configured exactly how you described. However, recently the situation seems to have improved i.e. I can use the net with no interruptions. I dare not check the 192.168.1.100 logs lol just crossing my UTP fingers and hoping the coaxle world is working :-)
