I moved house last week and 2 weeks before I phoned ntl to arrange a transfer of my telephone and to get Broadband installed.
Last Wednesday 11th may NTL knocked on the door at about 1pm to say they were here to install, they looked around my property where I wanted to telephone and broadband installed and then said have you had the cable pulled up from the road.
I replied I did not have a clue so out they went to have a look, they returned and said it had not been done so they would have to call out someone else to do it. They left and about 30 mins later another couple of men appeared.
They told me that it did not appear I had a T or something which is where the little black circle should appear in the path outside my property so they could not pull the cable to my property. They said i would have to wait until the 23rd May.
Anyway I called ntl and all i was told was that they was nothing they could do i would have to wait until the 23rd May. I did raise a complaint but i have not heard anything from this.
My partner called them on his return from work and got the install date moved to 19th May - this Friday.
Apparently they are coming to dig up the road on 18th May and they will install me on 19th May.
So I am paying for my telephone I guess, and will my internet get installed?
Your guess is as good as mine, I am a web designer and having to use my parents internet until I get mine installed.
