BT number not on checker :(

I got my BT line activated in my new flat on friday and the phone line works fine but when i try to see what speeds I can get it says that the number is not recognised by BT, although BT gave me it on friday.

Any idea why this it? do I need to ring them up and get them to add it? im eager to see what adsl max speed i can get

or any BT people able to add the number?

P.S is there an adsl hell type website?

For general ADSL talk, try http://www.adslguide.com

As for "hell" type sites, well they are specific to ISPs.. For instance, some of our members (and some of the team) from CableForum run http://www.my-bulldog-hell.co.uk/ for bulldog complaints.

I would of just put in my next door neighbours number. This way chances are you will get exactly the same service.

Where i live i'm capable of 4.5Mb, and where i used to live, 3.5Mb.
Cable ~10Mb... Which one should i have chosen really?

Happy though, glad BT are trying to compete
