That's if they don't choose a new name for the merged company, if they do merge

Will they merge for certain Teleywest has different ideas of what an internet service should be to ntl!

Different speeds and planed upgrades to NTL I feel the merge could be a big mistake for teleywest unless they take charge of the company and move it forward their way. Bet their Mgrs don't have as big a bonus as ntl's.

Wouldn't bet on it, ntl's TV service is streets ahead of Telewest's, ntl's core network is far superior. Make no bones about it overall control of the combined company will be with ntl.

Telewest may offer uncapped higher speed services, however as I've said lots in the past I wouldn't bet on anything staying permanent, especially with Telewest starting to have to spend more and more on the upgrade budget to keep up with the demand their unlimited services are causing them. Rest assured those providing this money will expect something in return.

I believe Ignition's point was basically that Telewest will be bought into line with NTL, rather than the other way around.
