Google gets revenge on BMW
Google has delisted BMW Germany from its search engine after they attempted to artificially manipulate their position in Google's ranking. Bmw.co.de now has a search rank of zero, which means that searching for "BMW Germany" will now present the international BMW site instead.
Saw this on my trawls and thought I'd share, just goes to show you that no matter how big a company BMW think they are in the 'real' world, Google reigns in cyberspace

now if only google good do something about kelkoo, shopfinder, pricerunner etc etc price comparison sites being 20/25 first results when you search with the work "buy..."

but they are not sponsored links, and iirc google don't make any money from the normal search results....

Or "review" - can make it impossible to find decent reviews on items because the first 5 pages are the same shops claiming to have customer reviews against the item but having nothing apart from a 'be the first to review' button
