[Merged]-Billing issue beyond a Joke.

First off new to here so hi everyone, was suggested to ask here by a member (Doofy). And here the story starts I had the base pack for television installed at £5.50 per month (suits me don't watch an awful lot of tv). After initially having a problem with no tv it was sorted thanks to someone on these forums. I received my bill and on it, it is saying that my TV bill is £20.00, so i rang CS and after being cut off on no less than 6 occasions was told that my TV was on the Base pack for the first month and had only just been changed to the one i asked for today!!!!. Which is just plain wrong, I have not had any other channels other than what I asked for @ £5.50, so why should i pay the extra? simple says CS because you did have the extra channels which i did not, but according to them i did have and i would have to pay for them. Its at this point i did not like being called a liar which they plainly are calling me but still insisting i pay the full amount for something i did not ask for, nor receive. So if any one has any ideas or suggestions i would be most grateful i certainly have no wish to pay for services i have not received or indeed asked for.

to Cable Forum

There should be a note on your account as to who changed your TV package and why. When you contact ntl for things like that they should go through basic security checks to see that you are who you are. Be interesting to see if something got circumvented here.

We can raise this through the forums contacts with ntl. If you want to do this please PM me (click the icon below this post). I'll need your account number, account name, address, contact phone number (daytime), email, and a brief description, with dates. This will be forwarded to our contacts (who only work weekdays), and Cable Forum will hold the information only as long as needed to see the issue resolved.
