If only it were that simple.
The engineer is coming with a new modem tommorow, [i can put the old one with the others] ,i doubt its that, 2 neighbours are also suffering, but if it works, great.
At least NTL phoned me back within 48hrs [things are definately better] and then again to apologise for cutting it off completely. [not much in it really

].
So thanks Charles [i think it was] for at least switching it back on.
My latest test is :
Thu, 5 Jan 2006 14:31:45 UTC
1st 128K took 10422 ms = 12576 Bytes/sec = approx 105 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 14860 ms = 8820 Bytes/sec = approx 73 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 3250 ms = 40330 Bytes/sec = approx 336 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 4031 ms = 32516 Bytes/sec = approx 271 kbits/sec
My modem diagnostics are full of critical errors, anyone know if that means the modem is faulty?
