Speed Issues
okay guys had newsbin a while now and tried newsleecher and nzb-omatic and many more and speed has never been a problem. i have also reformatted aswell. but i have recently upgraded to 10meg from 3meg with ntl. now the speed is performing worser than before 3meg speeds which consist of about 300k when i should be getting 1200k. i have tried various ports from 119,23,18,7000,8000,9000 and they all do the same my firewall permits it full access to the internet (norton internet security yes i know its rubbish) im just wondering if ntl could possibly be throtteling me. cause im gunna call them tommorow and rip there head off
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Kind Regards

Re: Speed Issues
Try using a few connections with Newsleecher. I've got mine set to 15 and i get 10Mb. And i'm using port 9000 with Newshosting.

Re: Speed Issues
I have 10Mb but due to modem issues I only get 6Mb,
Just before christmas, I was only getting <1Mb I disabled my newly installed Kerio Firewall and it went back to normal speeds. So I unistalled it.
Try and disable the Norton Firewall. I had this but I had no speed issues

Re: Speed Issues
disabling your firewall is never the cleverest of things to do when you have an always on connection, even if you are having speed issues.

Re: Speed Issues
My connection is borked, and i cant even hope to get near 10meg, i cant even get 1meg at best, even the tech support admitted it was dismal, fixing it is something else.
