Crazy fast connection speed?

Check these NTL speeds I keep getting today: -

1st 128K took 0 ms = Infinity Bytes/sec = approx Infinity kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 10 ms = 13107200 Bytes/sec = approx 109052 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 10 ms = 13107200 Bytes/sec = approx 109052 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 0 ms = Infinity Bytes/sec = approx Infinity kbits/sec


Apparently I can download everything on the internet quicker than I can blink... ;-)

Interestingly, the Tiscali speedchecker I used to use says my connection is apparently about 14Mb or 140 Mb - wahey!

(By the way, I think that's me got my upgrade this morning - Can anyone explain this?)

Probably loading from cache. Try the speed test from 'Quick Links' on the tool bar ^^^, and 'Repeat Test from source Server'

These are more consistent -

1st 512K took 441 ms = 1161 KB/sec, approx 9567 Kbps, 9.34 Mbps
2nd 512K took 430 ms = 1190.7 KB/sec, approx 9811 Kbps, 9.58 Mbps
3rd 512K took 431 ms = 1187.9 KB/sec, approx 9788 Kbps, 9.56 Mbps
4th 512K took 431 ms = 1187.9 KB/sec, approx 9788 Kbps, 9.56 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 9739 Kbps, 9.51 Mbps

That's pretty good, eh? Thankfully I've not had any problems with it so far.
