I've been trying to get on it for about 2 hours now.

When you try and look at specifics on the order page. Still I guess every website has some downtime...even Amazon.

Re: Amazon Down?
I don't use them that often...in the past they've messed me around something rotten - but when they have the best prices (by a long shot in this case) even I relent and give them my money.
But I guess if I rarely use them then you'd know much better than I would as to how reliable their ac**** stuff is...but I've not had a problem up until today...but ironically I got an email two minutes ago saying my order has been dispatched...and about two weeks early too!

I've found that amazon.com seems to be much more reliable than .co.uk. Sometimes even faster on delivery!

According to the articles I have read .com went down as well.
Rumour has it that the demand for the new Star Wars caused an overload .....

No, I was replying to andygrif's comment that amazon.co.uk had messed him about in the past. They've messed me around, as well - but I've bought quite a few items from amazon.com and never had those sorts of problems with them.
In fact, one of my pet peeves is the paucity of DVD titles in region 2 (Europe and some other areas) format. Once you go and look at .com's selection, you realise all those film titles you thought weren't available on DVD actually are, in region 1. What particularly annoys me is the European-made films that you can get easily in North America, but just aren't available in Europe.
