out ntl tv box froze and we could not do anything, i switched it of at mains and put it back on. it now says its updateding but has been now for 45 mins/

whast going on

has that errored as well ?

someone help .

do i remove card to make it work again or something

Reboot it - it's not actually updating, but searching for the signal. Also, make sure the co-axial cable is screwed in tightly.

it ahs not worked cable is in tight and i turned box on and off and its still not working : (

ERAS and LRIT?

That means it's taken the download and is writing it to memory - it doesn't need a tech visit, as long as it boots normally within the next 10 minutes...

Turn the power off at the mains, hold down the down arrow key on the front of the STB, then without letting go, turn the power on. (sometimes gives a temp service for Langley stb's with signal problems!)
