Question Do telewest allow...

Hi... I was just wondering, do Telewest allow you to host your own webserver using their packages? I have heard that some ISPs don't allow this, but can't find any info about it on their site.

I know I wouldn't be able host anything special due to the low upload speeds, but it would be fun to try

Re: Do telewest allow...

I believe they do unless the usage of the site starts to impact other users of their network.

Re: Do telewest allow...

yes they allow...

however even 384kbps is not fast enough really if yr website has downloads on it...
It is only good for a text/small pics site.
no downloads, streams etc... or large photos.

Re: Do telewest allow...

Yeah, I was thinking of a really basic site... Just like a logo and text on each page. I'm not actually that bothered about the site for now, I'd just like to doo it, so I can say I have.

I didn't want to go ahead with it just incase I'd get kicked off of telewest or something though.
