DVD Multiregion

My DVD player (getting on a bit, a Panny A360) has started getting a bit picky about playing discs and coming up with "NO PLAY" when the disk goes in.

Often a few stabs of the eject button (in / out) fixes this, but i was wondering if anyone had any thoughts. The player was chipped back when it was bought and it is consistently certain discs that cause problems (R2 Incredibles, R2 Shreck 2, often Disney ones)

I have used a lens cleaner on the player, that does not do anything.

Anyone have any thoughts? The discs play fine in my PC. I was wondering whether any security changes have been created since I bought the player and the chipping does not always bypass them.

Re: DVD Multiregion

I'll compare that list tonight, but the article says RCE is not a problem on the A360. It's a great player and when it plays it still renders beautifully so I really don't want / need to change it.

The only new thing I can think of is what Sony are using now in there protection.Dunno if disney have modified anything. You could make a region free back up of problem dvds and try those.Does you machine play copies ok?
